[Ubuntu-ie] Jaunty Release Party
Hello Planet Ubuntu and OSSBarCamp in Dublin, Ireland
Firstly, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to Planet Ubuntu readers.
My name is Maciej Danielski and my Ubuntu Membership Application was approved last week. I have been the Ubuntu-ie LoCo Team Point of Contact for over a year now. I’ve been using Ubuntu since Breezy Badger and never looked back.
Now to the more important stuff, namely the OSSBarCamp in Dublin which is taking place on the 28th March 2009 at the Dublin Institute of Technology (location). There’s a great number of very interesting talks scheduled for the day and spread throughout three rooms. Some people will probably recognize at least one name on the speakers list, the Ubuntu Studio project leader Luis de Bethencourt GuimerĂ¡ (luisbg). The talks will cover many OpenSourceSoftware projects: Ubuntu (including my lightning talk about the Irish LoCo), Debian, Git, GIMP and much, much more!
View the schedule here.
If you’re in or around Dublin make sure you don’t miss this event.
