From “zero to hero” in one month
The Ubuntu Month Of Screencasts 2007 starts tomorrow (01.09.2007). The Screencast Team came up with quite a mad idea to produce one full length screencast per day for the whole of one month. They will cover a wide range of topics which should answer some questions that new users to Ubuntu often ask. Screencasts will be available in three sizes and two formats (OGG and Flash) under Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 License.
I’m really looking forward to this.
Ubuntu – the leading Linux distribution
DesktopLinux.com published the result of their survey. 38,500 votes were counted. They say that the number of Linux users has doubled in the past year, and the Ubuntu (Kubuntu, Xubuntu and Edubuntu included) is the most popular Linux distribution.
The survey wasn’t only about distros, we also find out more statistics about desktop environments, browsers, email clients and which methods are used mostly to run Windows apps on Linux desktops.
